I am looking for (obviously) a good, or the best social networking site for musicians and music lovers. Something where music can be discussed and enjoyed as a whole. Pretty much like FaceBook and MySpace but for music. Anybody know of such a thing?

I mostly listen to Pop/pop-rock/hardcore/post-hardcore music.

I’m looking for a social network site that would be good for me to use for venting, writing a journal. Myspace is not for me and who really go on there to read blogs. Blogger seems to be too secluded and not really enough ‘networking’. I tried cafemom, but found my page to be too ‘cluttered’.

I remember the days before facebook, myspace, and twitter. The days when friends went their own separate ways. The days when you could actually miss somebody and wonder what ever happened to them. The days when you could reflect on your past rather than reading your old friend has "a new tattoo". Now with social networking, you will always have access to everybody you’ve ever know at any time. I feel like social networking is the downfall of human relationships and takes away all the mystery of the people from your past

Do you feel this way and please state your age?

My uncle has to get a new job, and it was recommended that he join some social networking sites such as LinkedIn to gain connections and speak to others in his profession. I was asked to gather a list of these sites for him, but the only thing I can think of is LinkedIn. I know there are ones like Facebook and MySpace, but I mean more professional-geared sites. Any suggestions?

I decided the other day that I was tired of MySpace and all the other just general ‘keep in touch with my friends’ social networking type sites out there… Being a freelance (part time) web builder I thought it might be a fun project to set up one of my own, so I did… I just launched it today – and I’m the only member so far

Does anyone know of any good social networking sites other than Facebook or Myspace?
