I am building a social networking site and I would like to have some ideas as to what people really want in a social networking site. All responses are very much appreciated.

I am looking for (obviously) a good, or the best social networking site for musicians and music lovers. Something where music can be discussed and enjoyed as a whole. Pretty much like FaceBook and MySpace but for music. Anybody know of such a thing?

I mostly listen to Pop/pop-rock/hardcore/post-hardcore music.

A friend and I at school are planning to open a social networking site. We have the specifics charted out, and are on the lookout for people with computer skills to help us. We were wondering what computer equipment we might be needing initially. We have come up with a rough draft, listing 5 computers, 2 servers and database administrator software, but are unsure if these would suffice. We appreciate any help in this direction.

I just want to create a social networking site, one where it is different than Twitter or Facebook. I just want to create one for my school, to help us connect more differently.

Where would I even begin?

Im creating my own social networking site for teens that are being bullied. I am investing a lot of money into this project and i was wondering how much you CAN make with a social networking site. (has more than 10000 members) estimate.

I am planning to start a social networking site for college students to date, chat, sent free SMS , call, play online games and create virtual tours of college to show where you met your love, your college etc. and also create virtual tournaments.
Privacy to messages, groups and friends will be given.

Exchanging pictures,videos and music through mobile at a go will also be available.

MySpace, YouTube, FaceBook, Flickr, etc… It’s all been done… or has it? What type of social (or anti-social) networking site would you start up if money were no issue?

I have no friends online and would like to make some. What social networking site, if any, is ideal for me.
